College of Biotechnology (CoB) “future is biotechnology”
The College of Biotechnology (CoB) was founded in 2012 as a new college within Al-Nahrain University in Baghdad to achieve its goals and mission of building distinguished biotechnology programs in higher education and scientific research.
The College offers a range of teaching and research programs in various disciplines of medical, environmental, agricultural, and industrial biotechnology. The current structure has two major divisions of medical and plant biotechnology.
The Bachelor of Biotechnology academic courses extends over four years of full-time study. During the first year, all students undertake the same basic science curriculum to build a strong foundation of basic knowledge to prepare them for advance Biotechnology program. By year two, students have the opportunity to be specialized into either medical or plant biotechnology.
