{"id":6288,"date":"2023-02-12T13:07:46","date_gmt":"2023-02-12T10:07:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biotech.nahrainuniv.edu.iq\/?p=6288"},"modified":"2023-02-12T13:07:46","modified_gmt":"2023-02-12T10:07:46","slug":"discussing-a-doctoral-dissertation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/biotech.nahrainuniv.edu.iq\/?p=6288&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Discussing a doctoral dissertation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A general discussion took place for the doctoral student (Farah Issa Ismail) about\u00a0 her thesis tagged<br \/>\nThe role of heat shock protein 70 as a diagnostic biomarker in Iraqi colon cancer patients and editing its expression.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">At 9 am on Thursday 1-26-2023 in the hall of the College of Biotechnology<br \/>\nThe meeting was chaired by His Excellency the Dean of the College of Biotechnology<br \/>\nAhmed Abdel-Hassan Abbas, the discussion committee, and the committee included the membership of each of:<br \/>\n2- Professor \/ Ahmed Sahib Abd Al-Amir \/ Al-Nahrain University &#8211; Faculty of Medicine &#8211; Member<br \/>\n3- Prof. Dr. Salwa Jaber Al-Awadi \/ Al-Nahrain University, Faculty of Biotechnology &#8211; Member<br \/>\n4- Prof. Dr. Risala Razouqi Hussein \/ Al-Nahrain University &#8211; College of Biotechnology &#8211; Member<br \/>\n5- AM Heba Ahmed Ghaidan \/ Al-Mustansiriya University &#8211; College of Medicine &#8211; Member<br \/>\n6- Prof. Dr. Ali Zaid Fadel \/ Al-Nahrain University &#8211; College of Biotechnology &#8211; member and supervisor<br \/>\n7- Prof. Ahmed Abdul Majeed Hamza \/ Al-Mustansiriya University &#8211; Iraqi Center for Cancer Research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The study aimed to investigate the role of heat shock protein 70 as a diagnostic biomarker for Iraqi patients with colorectal cancer and benefit from the advantages of Newcastle virus as a virus that is not pathogenic to humans and has a great ability to replace many types of cancer cells. bypassing normal cells.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The study revealed that heat shock protein 70 inhibitor and virus individually inhibit proliferation and growth, reduce cell viability, and cause morphological changes and apoptosis in colorectal cancer cell lines.<br \/>\nThe results of the combination treatment showed that the synergy between the virus and the inhibitor produced a significant antitumor effect greater than the effect of monotherapy with either of them, and their combination led to a greater inhibition of cell viability, increased cellular morphological changes, and increased induction of apoptosis in treated colorectal cancer cell lines.
